St. Martin Parish School District seeks an Arts Coordinator to lead the rollout of a whole-school STEAM arts integration at the magnet school, based at the district office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; master's preferred.
• Valid Louisiana teacher's license.
• Four years of relevant experience in STEM, arts integration, and problem-based learning.
• Experience in teacher development and coaching of curricula units, instructional sequences, and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of whole-school STEAM arts integration across the magnet school, share best practices, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers to facilitate smooth arts-infused STEAM implementation at the magnet school(s).
• Assist with development of arts content integrated across core subjects, incl. course sequences and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Project Director to assess professional development needs of staff.
• Work with artists in residence to provide coaching and professional learning.
• Deliver job-embedded professional development to educators and staff.
• Empower teachers to develop interdisciplinary arts-integrated competency via in-class coaching and co-teaching.
• Other duties as assigned.
