Job summary

St. Martin Parish School Board is seeking an Arts Coordinator to lead the rollout of a whole-school STEAM arts integration approach at the magnet school.

You will share best practices, troubleshoot implementation issues, and collaborate with teachers to ensure smooth delivery of an arts-infused STEAM program. You will develop arts content across core subjects, design course sequences, and provide hands-on learning opportunities while coordinating with the Project Director to identify

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Valid Louisiana teacher's license.
• Four years of relevant experience in an educational position focused on STEM, arts, integration approaches, and problem-based learning.
• Experience in teacher development and coaching of curricula units, instructional sequences, and performance-based assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of whole-school STEAM arts integration across the magnet school, share best practices, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers to facilitate smooth implementation of the arts-infused STEAM program at the magnet school(s).
• Assist school team with development of arts content integrated across core subjects, incorporating research-based approaches, developing course sequences, and designing hands-on learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with Project Director to assess and identify professional development needs of staff at the magnet school(s).
• Work with artists in residence to facilitate coaching and professional learning relevant to identified needs.
• Deliver job-embedded professional development to educators and other staff.
• Empower teachers to develop competency with interdisciplinary and arts-integrated approaches via in-class coaching and co-teaching.
• Other duties as assigned.
