Job summary

Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead is seeking an energetic Art teacher to lead STEM and art lessons for after-school groups and school break camps. You will develop and deliver pre-made and new lesson plans, while tracking student progress and communicating with families.

The role requires strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to transport students in a STEAM van. Experience with K-8 education and mixed media art is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technology skills (Minecraft, Robotics, basic coding, 3D modeling).
• Mixed media art experience.
• K-8 teaching experience.
• Classroom management skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach STEM and/or Art lessons with pre-made lesson plans.
• Create new lesson plans and teach those plans to the class.
• Track student progress and present the information to parents.
• Reinforce classroom rules and Full STEAM Ahead expectations.
• Manage students outside the classroom, such as during lunch breaks and "Free Explore".
• Arrive at 2:00 pm for setup and organization on school days.
• Drive a STEAM van (15 passenger van) to pick up students from specified schools.
• Work with the "STEAM Culture" elements to promote student behavior and growth.
• Assist in End of Day cleanup and organization.
• Assist with student check in/out
• Maintain classroom equipment and inventory
• Mini Camps (School Break Camps)
