Job summary

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I to join our team at Colunbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA.

The role ensures SOPs and material specifications are followed through testing and inspection, with a rotating monthly morning/mid/night schedule. The candidate will maintain QA records, perform analytical results reporting, and uphold GMP and safety standards in a fast-paced wine production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or two years of college coursework in a science discipline (chemistry, biochemistry, or related science field) preferred.
• Able to meet flexible schedule requirements; monthly rotating schedule.
• Experience in the wine, food, or beverage industry.
• Analytical laboratory experience with background in operating laboratory instrument systems preferred.
• GMP and Safety requirements practiced in production facilities.

• Perform physical stability tests on finished wines.
• Maintain accurate packaging and bottling-related records.

Job description

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Columbia Crest Winery located in Paterson, WA. This position is responsible for the maintenance of quality improvement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and material specifications through testing and inspection. These procedures and specifications are designed to ensure Ste. Michelle Wine Estates maintains a high-quality standard for its products and adheres to all applicable regulatory standards. This role requires a monthly rotating schedule which will include a morning, mid and night shift.

Quality Assurance Technician I job responsibilities include:

• Inspect in-process and post-process packaged goods and provide prompt and accurate feedback to the bottling supervisor and line personnel.
• Perform physical stability tests on finished wines.
• Maintain accurate/current packaging and bottling-related records.
• Maintain quality assurance records and workstation records.
• Record and report analytical results.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must Possess a Valid Drivers License.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or two years of college coursework in a science discipline (chemistry, biochemistry, or related science field) preferred.
• Able to meet flexible schedule requirements. This role maintains a monthly rotational schedule.
• Experience in the wine, food, or beverage industry.
• Analytical laboratory experience with a background in the operation of laboratory instrument systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a self-directed team environment.
• We follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in our production facilities. You will be required to follow all GMP and Safety requirements.
• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.

Your Compensation:

$17.66-$22.98/hr. based upon relevant experience.
