Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Plymouth, MN seeks a STE Manager to lead 8–12 engineers in designing, integrating and validating test equipment for development and production programs across multiple units. Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance after starting employment.
• Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of related experience, OR a Masters with 6 years of related experience.
• 4+ years in Special Test Equipment (STE) related jobs.
• 2+ years leading cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience in cost estimating and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
• Multidisciplinary engineering experience (electrical, software, mechanical).
• Experience with test fixtures to simulate real world environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 8 to 12 engineers for Test Equipment development and validation.
• Oversee technology development, staffing, budgets and process improvements.
• Coach and direct a high-performing engineering team and maintain development plans.
• Ensure integration of Design for Testability into new products and test strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in testing processes.
• Present deliverables at program reviews and technical meetings.
