Staybridge Suites El Paso Airport Area is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee operations and guest satisfaction while the General Manager is away. You will lead multiple departments, drive revenue, control costs, and coach team members to deliver consistent hospitality excellence.

This is an overtime-eligible manager role (OEM); daily pay option is available and benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B) or a degree with relevant years of experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments in the General Manager's absence.
• Drive hotel profitability and manage costs while ensuring smooth operations.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop team members.
• Maintain clear communications with colleagues and guests.

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Captain of Collaboration: Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by skillfully managing teams and partnering with the General Manager to keep everything running smoothly.

• Talent Scout & Coach: Play a key role in recruiting, hiring, and training Guest Services staff, and help all team members—from managers to hourly employees—grow through exciting development programs and ongoing training.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
