Job summary

Progyny, Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to drive statutory financial reporting, NAIC filings, and insurance‑related accounting. You will report to the Director of Financial Reporting and collaborate with the accounting team during monthly close.

The role requires deep knowledge of statutory accounting, NAIC reporting, and GAAP‑to‑statutory conversions, with experience across multiple insurance entities and jurisdictions. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA preferred.
• Five or more years in insurance accounting, statutory reporting, financial reporting, or public accounting.
• Experience preparing NAIC statutory financial statements and state regulatory filings is preferred.
• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles and GAAP-to-statutory reporting conversions is important.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale statutory accounting and financial reporting processes across Progyny’s insurance operations.
• Own preparation, review, and submission of NAIC statutory financial statements and schedules.
• Manage statutory reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop GAAP-to-statutory conversions, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Lead monthly and quarterly accounting close activities for insurance entities; perform analyses and variance explanations.
• Coordinate regulatory applications, amendments, and licensing financial documentation.
