Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Safety Auditor/Coordinator in Austin, TX to conduct regular safety audits and lead safety initiatives. You will promote compliance with OSHA, FAA, TSA, and company policies, and collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions.

The role involves investigating incidents and reviewing safety metrics to drive improvements. The successful candidate will coordinate training, engage employees, and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience conducting safety audits and leading safety initiatives.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FAA, TSA regulations and company safety policies.
• Ability to analyze safety metrics and collaborate with leadership on corrective actions.
• Typing speed of 30 WPM and proficient reading/writing in English.

• Promote compliance with OSHA, FAA, TSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
• Lead and participate in safety committee meetings to review data and identify improvement areas.
• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and injuries, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting.
• Collaborate with station and regional leadership to develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Review and analyze safety metrics, trends and reports to recommend targeted interventions.
• Support training efforts by identifying safety-related skill gaps and coordinating follow-up or remedial trainings.
• Engage employees in safety initiatives and reinforce accountability through communication and recognition.

Requirements

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Reports to work on a regular and timely basis
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving GSE equipment
