Job summary

Chevron Stations Inc. is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee daily retail station operations in Elk Grove, CA. You will manage staff, scheduling, inventory, cash handling, and customer service while ensuring compliance with safety and wage requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English to understand CSI policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and/or coworkers on work-related matters.
• Previous managerial experience in a retail, food service or fuel environment.
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle challenging situations professionally, exercising good judgement.
• Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
• High School graduate or equivalent and a minimum 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail facility related to running the business and managing employee matters.
• Recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, managing performance and administering discipline.
• Overall responsibility for performance and stability of station including employees, compliance, safety, finances, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with wage & hourly requirements.
• Follow safety, security, quality guidelines and CSI policies; handle incidents professionally.
• Maintain safety by using Loss Prevention procedures and model safe behaviors.
• Maintain courteous, professional contact with staff, customers, vendors and the community.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
