Job Title: Station Manager

Reports To: Outstation Line Maintenance Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for Line Station procedures. Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality, and submit Maintenance Program Revision Requests for applicable policy and procedure changes.
- Responsible for the oversight of personnel regarding administrative requirements, training, work performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures obtained in the GMM.
- Develop and maintain sound personnel and labor relations and employee safety awareness.
- Ensure that the department’s functions are planned and carried out effectively and economically.
- Coordinate with management personnel to ensure completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company aircraft.
- Schedule manpower with proper skill levels for maintenance functions through coordination with the Planning Department and Maintenance Control.
- Responsible for the discipline and efficient utilization of station supervisors, leads, and mechanics under supervision.
- Ensure tools and equipment are cared for per company policy and are available when needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with other Kalitta Air Departments and the Outstation Line Maintenance Manager.
- Analyze mechanical difficulty reports and identify changes to enhance station efficiency.
- The Station Manager is authorized to carry out all responsibilities, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and recommending termination of supervised employees.
- Analyze expenses and operational requirements to manage the budget accordingly.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure effective maintenance, repair, and alteration of aircraft and ground support equipment.
- Ensure personnel use current manuals relevant to their tasks.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Outstation Line Maintenance Manager.
Note: The Station Manager may delegate duties to qualified assistants but remains responsible overall.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining the same category and class of airplanes operated by Kalitta Air.
- Appropriate certification under 14 CFR Part 65.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
- Organized, proficient with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must have a US Passport and be a US Citizen.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required; college or technical school experience desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English; capable of writing reports and giving directions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with accommodations if needed. Tasks include frequent reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, handling objects, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds, climbing, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily in a construction/maintenance setting with loud noise levels; accommodations available for disabilities.
