Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics in Palatine, IL is seeking a Station Manager to own the P&L, lead the station team, and drive profitable growth through superior service and efficient operations. You will implement company policies, oversee admin, sales, and customer service, and develop the regional business.

You will mentor staff, lead safety programs, manage budgets, and partner with senior management to optimize performance using KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; experience in logistics or related field is a plus.
• Minimum five years in logistics with international and domestic experience.
• Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Proven experience managing full P&L.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Able to manage domestic and international operations including customer service and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and manage all station functions to ensure service agreements.
• Maximize profitability through superior customer service and prompt communication with customers.
• Drive business development, sales, and new account development to increase station revenue.
• Provide staff with daily guidance, leadership, and support on operational and administrative matters.
• Develop and execute plans to meet organizational needs while ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards.
• Review cost and activity data to track progress toward business goals and forecasts.
• Collaborate with senior management to improve service, profit, and growth using KPIs.
• Ensure freight is expedited safely and on time; implement safety programs.
• Motivate staff and build effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Other duties as required; wage range: $106,710.00-$160,070.00; varies by geography and experience.
