Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Station Supervisor to lead Station Electrician and Servicer crews in construction, maintenance, and operations at the transmission network. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating work while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities include responding to outages, supervising crew members, procuring necessary materials, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of station experience; candidates must have at least 4 years in a station role to be considered.
• Must maintain a valid state driver''s license.
• Ability to interpret prints and manufacturers'' drawings.
• Strong knowledge of HV electrical equipment operation, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with Company safety rules and resuscitation/first aid procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the activity of the assigned crew in construction, maintenance, operation and response to station trouble calls and restoration.
• Ensure proper and safe use of tools and equipment; oversee safety and training of personnel.
• Create short-range work plans and coordinate daily activities with other crews at the site.
• Respond to emergencies and outages; assist in restoration when required.
• Procure materials, tools and equipment as needed for jobs.
• Comply with Company policies and safety standards for transmission station work.
• Maintain relationships with employees, vendors, contractors and the public.
• Attend supervisory and scheduling meetings and maintain必要 records and reports.
• Perform Station Electrician/Servicer duties as required.
