Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Supervisor to lead the Station Electrician and Station Servicer crews in construction, maintenance and operations, respond to station trouble calls, and aid in service restoration. You will plan and schedule work, ensure safety and proper use of tools, coordinate with other crews, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military/tech training equivalent.
• 6 years station experience, 4+ years eligible for consideration.
• Ability to interpret prints and drawings; HV system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct activity of assigned crew in construction, maintenance and operation and/or response to outages.
• Ensure safe use of tools and equipment; supervise safety and training.
• Plan short-range work and organize daily activities; coordinate with other crews.
• Respond to emergencies and outages; assist in restoration efforts.
• Procure materials/tools; uphold company safety standards.
• Maintain records and reports; communicate with supervisors and departments.
• Perform duties of Station Electrician/Station Servicer as required.
• Assist with maintenance of buildings/transportation equipment and inventory.
