California State Alliance of YMCAs seeks a transformative Chief Executive Officer to lead statewide advocacy, fiscal stewardship, and strategic initiatives that strengthen Ys across California. The CEO reports to the Board, builds relationships with state and federal officials, and collaborates with YMCA leaders to advance a bold mission.

The role requires deep leadership, policy acumen, and a track record of securing multi-million-dollar funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication aligned with YMCA mission.
• Five+ years of senior management experience.
• Proven ability to secure funding and manage $5M+ budgets.
• Ability to collaborate with the Board, California Ys, networks, and Y-USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Alliance with strategic direction and advocacy.
• Oversee staff, governance, and partnerships.
• Cultivate statewide funding opportunities and reporting.
• Collaborate with Y-USA and member associations.
• Engage Board and policymakers to advance priorities.
