Job summary

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program seeks a Nutrition Manager to support statewide WIC operations. You will lead local agency activities, ensure policy compliance, and serve as a key resource for clinic operations and program guidance.

The role involves supervising Nutrition Specialists and the Breastfeeding Coordinator, coordinating staff, and traveling to trainings and site reviews. Some telework may be available after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in health-related field with required experience
• Master's degree in related field with experience is acceptable
• 8+ years of full-time experience in public health/health field preferred

Responsibilities

• Support local WIC agencies in delivering program operations and guidance.
• Develop and implement WIC policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with federal regulations and provide technical assistance.
• Lead program reviews and audits related to nutrition and clinic operations.
• Supervise Nutrition Specialists and the Breastfeeding Coordinator.
• Travel in-state and out-of-state for trainings and site reviews.
