Job summary

The TRIO Statewide Talent Search Project Director at the University of Alaska Anchorage leads a statewide initiative to provide postsecondary preparation services to middle and high school students, collaborating with UAF and Kenai Peninsula staff.

The role requires knowledge of college admissions, financial aid (FAFSA), and CTE pathways, plus strong stakeholder engagement, grant administration, and data management. Rolling reviews apply; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience in program development and evaluation, grant funded academic programs, or in areas directly related to the primary duties, and two years management experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide TRIO initiative across urban and rural communities.
• Coordinate with secondary schools, university leadership, and community organizations.
• Oversee grant administration and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize data for program evaluation and progress tracking.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with administrators and staff.
