Job summary

The TRIO Statewide Talent Search Project within the University of Alaska Anchorage seeks a Compliance Officer to oversee federal grant compliance, data integrity, and centralized regulatory oversight across 61 schools and regional sites in Anchorage, Mat-Su, Kenai Peninsula, and UAF/Interior/Rural.

Based in Anchorage with full benefits, the role emphasizes turning complex federal regulations into clear workflows, administering cloud-based databases, and maintaining rigorous internal audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, data analytics, or closely related field; two years of experience in grant compliance, internal auditing, risk management, regulatory oversight or related area.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid Alaska Driver's License and clean driving record per UA Safe Driving Criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide centralized regulatory oversight across 61 target schools and regional sites.
• Administer cloud-based database systems and ensure data integrity.
• Establish internal audit schedules and drive compliance improvements.
• Translate federal regulations into clear, actionable workflows for project staff.
