Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Statewide Traffic Management Center Operator based in PA to monitor real-time traffic, assess incidents, and coordinate with PennDOT, emergency responders, and other partners. The role supports ITS devices, CCTV feeds, and incident management processes to ensure safe, efficient travel across the statewide network.

Based in Harrisburg, PA, the operator works in a fast-paced center with flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple information systems simultaneously.
• Experience using operations center or public safety systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time traffic and roadway conditions using CCTV and ITS tools.
• Coordinate with emergency responders, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
• Identify incidents quickly and communicate information for traveler guidance.
• Document incidents and activities in agency systems.
• Provide timely notifications about incidents, closures, and weather impacts.
