Job summary

AECOM is seeking an accomplished Transportation leader to serve as Traffic Engineering Practice Lead for Tennessee. This leadership position will oversee statewide practice growth, technical excellence, and client development, leveraging a global network.

The role demands deep knowledge of traffic operations, ITS, and multimodal transportation, with strong people leadership and collaboration with TDOT and local governments. Relocation is optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of progressively responsible traffic engineering and transportation operations experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• 5 years of project management and team leadership experience.
• Experience managing traffic engineering and ITS projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• PTOE, RSP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide Traffic Engineering Practice for Tennessee.
• Oversee strategic growth plans and client development.
• Provide technical oversight for Traffic Engineering Studies, ITS, and safety.
• Mentor and build high-performing teams.
• Coordinate with TDOT, local governments, and private development clients.
