Job summary

Indiana Economic Development Corporation seeks a Vice President of Small Business to serve as State Director of the Indiana SBDC and to implement the Indiana SBDC vision and strategy. This leader directs statewide program activities and financial affairs, ensuring funding compliance and collaborates with IEDC, education systems, and private partners to support Indiana entrepreneurs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
2–5 years of senior management experience in private or public sector.
Knowledge of SBA regulations as they pertain to the SBDCs.
Experience with state and/or federal grants.
Experience with higher education/community college collaborations.
Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internet use.

Responsibilities

Contribute to IEDC’s entrepreneurship & small business strategy and manage Indiana SBDC delivery.
Serve as a member of the IEDC leadership team and chief spokesperson for SBDC initiatives.
Define plans and measure performance, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan.
Oversee budgeting, grants, and statewide resource development.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
