The position requires residency in Southern Indiana, travel within the region, and proficiency with CRM systems and Office software to support IEDC programs and regional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Sales/Business Development, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in economic development or related field (preferred).
• Ability to negotiate complex business transactions and lead economic development partners in unified responses.
• Strong knowledge of Indiana's core industries (aerospace, manufacturing, life sciences, logistics, IT, microelectronics).
• Willingness to maintain residency in Southern Indiana region and travel frequently within the region.
• Proficiency with CRM databases, Microsoft Office, and other relevant technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• The Project Manager serves as the IEDC representative for select counties in the Southern Indiana Region.
• Manages economic development projects with a focus on negotiating business attraction and expansion deals.
• Builds relationships with economic development partners, visits local businesses and government officials.
• Monitors regional activities and provides technical assistance for IEDC programs.
