Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Peer Support Training Specialist to train and guide Peer Support Workers statewide. Housed in PATH within the School of Social Work, the role partners with PATH leadership to deliver web-based and on-site trainings and to support the statewide peer support curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and certification within 120 days.
• Self-identification as a person with lived experience in mental health or related field.
• Experience navigating two or more behavioral health services.
• Experience with coaching, training, teaching and/or public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver web-based and on-site statewide trainings.
• Provide coaching and guidance to Peer Support Workers.
• Collaborate with PATH leadership to implement statewide curriculum.
• Assess agency challenges and develop implementation strategies.
• Travel statewide as required.
