Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Psychologist III—Forensic Evaluator at Rio Grande State Center in Harlingen, TX. Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology and licensure as a Psychologist (TX or reciprocity).
• One year of supervised experience in psychological services.
• Experience conducting forensic evaluations and standard assessments with forensic populations in inpatient psychiatry.
• Experience conducting individual and group psychotherapy with forensic populations in inpatient settings.
• Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 46B/46C/Chapter 55 competency evaluations as assigned.
• Perform violence risk assessments and provide psycholegal evaluations.
• Coordinate forensic activities with multidisciplinary teams and supervise trainees as requested.
• Provide expert testimony and consult on forensic programs and policies.
• Ensure documentation and regulatory compliance in electronic medical records.
