Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks an experienced NGRI Services Coordinator within the Office of Forensic Services and Coordination. You will act as statewide expert for inpatient NGRI services, providing senior-level consultative support, policy implementation, and program development.

Responsibilities include leading statewide coordination, developing guidelines, training materials, and collaborating with hospitals, community providers, courts, and prosecutors to ensure

Qualifications

• Master's level degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field with at least 3 years of forensic mental health experience.
• Licensure as LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC is preferred or required as applicable.
• Experience in forensic behavioral health and statewide program development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as statewide coordinator for inpatient NGRI services and related forensic initiatives.
• Develop policies, procedures, manuals, and evaluation plans for NGRI programs.
• Provide advanced consultation to state hospitals and facilities on treatment best practices and legal requirements.
• Lead program implementation and address complex barriers to NGRI commitments.
• Collect and analyze data to identify gaps and drive quality improvement.
• Collaborate with HHSC community programs to ensure continuity of care.
