Job summary

STI in Nashville, TN seeks a Program Manager to lead the Mental Health First Aid program across rural public health regions. You will train staff and partners statewide, mentor instructors, and support grant reporting and budgeting while ensuring data quality.

You will develop communications and presentations, identify improvements, and collaborate with workgroups and community partners to advance mental health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mental health topics and promoting wellbeing.
• Advanced MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• MHFA Instructor certification preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and grammar.
• REDCap experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Proven time management and multitasking abilities.
• Grant or contract management experience preferred.
• Ability to create clear data visualizations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Program Manager for the Mental Health First Aid Program in rural public health regions and local departments.
• Conduct trainings as a certified MHFA Instructor for staff and partners statewide.
• Mentor and support TDH MHFA instructors in assigned regions.
• Develop grant-related progress and annual reports; provide grant and budget input.
• Maintain databases and spreadsheets; generate status reports as needed.
• Create professional communications and visualizations so content follows guidelines.
• Prepare mental health presentations for professional audiences.
• Identify areas for program and process improvements and develop solutions.
• Attend and lead MHFA instructor meetings with vendors and partners.
• Conduct community outreach to recruit/train target populations.
• Liaise with mental health workgroups and collaborations.
• Assist with ad hoc mental health initiatives as directed.
