Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation infrastructure or large-scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Alaska's statewide maintenance and operations organization.
• Establish statewide operational priorities, performance expectations, and standards.
• Lead workforce development, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Direct statewide emergency preparedness and operational response during severe weather, disasters, and disruptions.
• Oversee operating budgets, equipment fleets, facilities, and public resources.
• Partner with engineering and capital projects to improve lifecycle performance.
• Champion continuous improvement through performance management and data-driven decisions.
• Represent the department before leadership, Legislature, federal agencies, local governments, Tribal partners, and industry stakeholders.
