The State of Nevada, through the Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS), seeks a senior leader to oversee statewide juvenile justice programming, including the Youth Parole Bureau and three state facilities. You will guide policy, operations, and compliance to deliver high-quality care for youth and safeguard public safety.

Responsibilities include directing a large staff, coordinating with local communities, ensuring data reporting, and maintaining program integrity across multiple sites

Competenze

• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in juvenile justice, corrections, social services, or a closely related human services field, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity overseeing programs, staff, and/or facilities serving youth.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, social work, psychology, public administration or related field; master’s degree preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide broad oversight of children's juvenile justice services, including ensuring that Nevada’s Youth Parole Bureau and three state-operated residential juvenile justice facilities are held to a high quality standard and that interrelated services are coordinated for youth needs.
• Work with local communities to determine community needs and develop plans to meet those needs, ensuring quality assurance and legislative compliance.
• Manage a staff of approximately 200 professionals and coordinate cross-agency collaboration (courts, child welfare, behavioral health, education).
