Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) seeks a hardworking Administrator to lead the Juvenile Parole Board (JPB) administrative operations. The role oversees policy implementation, budgeting, and board governance, advising the Governor and coordinating with partner agencies to support parole hearings and statewide processes.

The position requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and the ability to mentor staff while ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and policies.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
• A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned, equal to seven (7) years
• Prior experience with youth parole or residential youth centers
• Prior experience managing a legislatively mandated board, council, or commission
• Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative oversight of the Juvenile Parole Board (JPB), including legislative and budget development and oversight.
• Schedule and manage hearings; ensure hearings are conducted properly and decisions documented.
• Supervise staff (Deputy Administrator and Victim Services Coordinator) and drive performance management and staff development.
• Coordinate with CDHS and other departments for appointments, staffing, and legislative/board processes.
