State of Ohio’s Developmental Disabilities - Central Office is hiring a Human Services Program Consultant in Columbus. You will assess eligibility for Medicaid and non‑Medicaid services, ensure registrations meet state and CMS requirements, and coordinate across agencies for timely processing of applications.

Responsibilities include coordinating approvals/denials, performing registry checks, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health or pre-medicine or comparable field; 18 months of experience in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
• Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related or comparable field; 6 months of experience in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsabilités

• Act as program consultant on a statewide basis for reviewing and determining applicants’ eligibility for initial and renewal registration/certification as providers of Medicaid and non-Medicaid services.
• Implements policies and procedures in accordance with Ohio statutes, administrative rules, CMS regulations and Medicaid State Plan.
• Coordinate service delivery, notify applicants of approvals/denials, request additional data, conduct registry checks, review applications for completeness, and prepare/issue credentials.
