Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a Statewide Growth Consultation Program Manager to lead the GROWTH initiative, guiding relationships with child welfare leaders and coordinating engagement with individuals with lived experience across Illinois.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to supervise staff, develop briefings for senior leadership, and represent the department in external meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or related human services field.
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a human services field.
• Three years of supervisory or management experience in child welfare, mental health, or similar human services programs.
• Three years of experience working with birth parents, youth, and/or foster caregivers with lived experience within the child welfare system.
• Three years of professional experience in a public or private organization exercising knowledge of child welfare related federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Statewide GROWTH Consultation Program and act as full line supervisor.
• Provide oversight and expert consultation to child welfare leaders and teams regarding partnering with individuals with lived experience.
• Monitor fidelity to program frameworks (Implementation Science, Continuous Quality Improvement, lived experience engagement).
• Develop summaries and briefings regarding the GROWTH Program for senior leadership.
• Represent the Deputy Director and the Department in meetings, task forces and outward-facing representation activities for the GROWTH Program.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
