  • Associate degree in Fire Science or related field; Level II Instructor or Level II Inspector certification.
  • Two years of experience conducting state fire and rescue certification training programs.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver fire and rescue training, instructor qualification testing, and evaluations.
  • Audit certification courses and live fire training; prepare investigative reports.
  • Interpret and communicate standards (OSHA, NFPA).
  • Assist with program standards development and Certification Board support.
  • Represent the Department at meetings; serve on the State Emergency Response Team (SERT).
