Job summary

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Coordinator of Family and Peer Support Services to oversee statewide Family Advocate and Peer Support Training Specialists, ensuring ethical delivery and effective messaging.

The role collaborates with senior leadership, develops training curricula, and expands family voice across Illinois while supporting providers through coaching and field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mental Health or related field.
• Parent or primary caregiver involved in the day-to-day care of a child or adolescent with emotional/behavioral health challenges, or personal lived experience navigating related systems.
• Experience successfully navigating child-serving systems for children with emotional/behavioral challenges or navigating mental health, substance use, or legal systems personally.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise statewide Family Advocate and Peer Support Specialists teams via in-person and web-based training.
• Facilitate standardized team activity to ensure training content consistency across the state.
• Serve as SME and provide coaching to providers for family peer support services implementation.
