You will help counties strengthen preparedness, planning, coordination, and recovery operations, guiding vital activities that protect people and property.

Qualifications

Two years of professional experience in emergency management programs or equivalent combination with a bachelor’s degree.
Experience coordinating grants and reviewing plans.
Ability to liaise with counties and represent the agency at events.

Responsibilities

Grant coordination: support county submissions for emergency management grants.
Plan review: evaluate dam safety plans and correctional emergency plans.
County liaison: serve as primary contact for counties and assist with projects.
Public outreach: represent the agency at events and help develop education materials.
Exercise support: participate in training, drills and exercises.
Field assistance: aid recovery operations by conducting assessments and preparing documentation.
