Job summary

The State of North Dakota invites applications for the Assessment and Accountability Manager to lead and coordinate statewide assessment and accountability initiatives. The role focuses on data, performance measures, and compliance across ND A+ and related programs, partnering with schools and districts to improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, analytics, and program management, with track records in data analysis and cross-agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field related to the position and three years of professional-level work experience, which must have included work experience in an education setting and relating to one (or more) of the above program portfolios. Or
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position and five years of professional-level work experience, which must have included work experience in an education setting and relating to one (or more) of the above program portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for districts, NDDPI staff, and external partners seeking technical assistance related to assessment operations, ND A+ data, student files, and system functionality.
• Coordinate with the state assessment vendor to support system development, troubleshoot issues, manage project timelines, and ensure successful implementation of the ND A+ assessment system in support of the project team.
• Assist with score interpretation, reporting, and dissemination of data to schools, districts, special education units and other stakeholders.
• Implement, monitor, and provide technical assistance of IDEA requirements.
• Prepare and deliver research summaries, legislative data requests, presentations, and webinars related to assessment and accountability initiatives.
• Lead the development and execution of Choice Ready strategies while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program impact.
• Develop guidance materials, deliver technical assistance, and provide training for school district leaders and stakeholders around the Student Engagement Survey. Provide support and technical assistance for the application, award, data collection, and monitoring processes for identified schools in need of improvement.
• Serve as professional development and technical assistance lead for assigned Special Education portfolios, such as State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report, Significant Disproportionality, and/or Programmatic Monitoring.
