Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools seeks qualified teachers to deliver the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program across an EDC/Services for Exceptional Students setting under a 194-day contract. Multiple licensure levels (I, II, III) are available, with responsibilities aligned to State and District GATE standards and curricula.

Responsibilities include planning coherent instruction, creating an environment for learning, and assessing student progress while maintaining professional conduct

Qualifications

• BA degree and NM teaching license with endorsements as needed.
• Alternative qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the District educational program by teaching students in the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program according to State and District GATE standards.
• Provide guidance and instructional experiences that are academically and developmentally appropriate for GATE students.
• Be held accountable to the New Mexico Teacher Competencies and Domains and deliver State and District curriculum.

Education

BA degree and valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed
