Job summary

Dream Nashville is seeking bartenders who are excited, qualified, hard-working, and passionate about hospitality with a commitment to superior guest service.

Experience with Micros, high-volume service, and extensive cocktail training are beneficial but not required. You will create and serve beverages to guest specifications in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on guest relations and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of beverage knowledge.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant is a must.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes; basic math skills.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local/state government or franchise.

Responsibilities

• Know drink recipes, wines by the glass, and menu/prices to promote to guests.
• Performs duties in accordance with policies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Handle cash transactions per property policy.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, events, and local services.
• Complete bar setup, including ice, garnish, glassware.
• Work as part of a team and provide professional service.
• Communicate with FOH/BOH staff and managers.

Duties & Functions

• Knows all drink recipes, wines by the glass, and menu and prices to effectively promote to guests.
• Performs duties in accordance with established company policies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware.
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property's cash handling policy
• Maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area
• Performs complete bar setup, including ice, garnish, glassware, etc.
• Works as part of a team
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude
• Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests
• Provides help and support to all fellow colleagues
• Communicates to FOH and BOH support staff including managers and chefs
• Learns from and teaches fellow colleagues (learn by listening, lead by example)
• Performs opening side work and set up station
• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings
• Always smiles and greets guests warmly and genuinely

• Records and places proper food and beverage orders in POS
• Delivers food and beverages to guests

• All other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of beverage knowledge
• Previous hospitality experience preferred
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant is a must Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school
• Must have a working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes. Requires basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register or POS system.
