Job summary

Skywalk Global seeks an Equipment Crew Member to ensure AV and live streaming systems are properly set up for the Statehouse conference spaces. You will lead the setup of sound mixers, monitors, DVD players, podiums, and related gear, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with event staff to meet room requirements.

Ideal candidates will bring practical AV knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to work weekends or event-based schedules.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of audio, video and sound equipment used for events.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform manual tasks.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for attendees.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup of sound, audio, visual, live streaming equipment (mixers, monitors, DVD players, podiums).
• Troubleshoot sound and AV equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Plan room setups from worksheets and timelines for Statehouse events.
• Assess spaces for required equipment and prepare space accordingly.
• Ensure doors, lights, and blinds are set as requested; transport unused equipment to storeroom.
• Set up furniture and equipment; keep rooms presentable and clean after events.
• Reset spaces between events during legislative sessions or rapid changes.
• Work under written/verbal instructions and follow established practices.
• Lead fellow staff or interns in supervision gaps and training.
