Job summary

The IN-IDOA Event Set Up Crew position in Indianapolis is an onsite contract role supporting the Statehouse event spaces. You will prepare 33 conference rooms with furniture and equipment, and manage setup for meetings and Legislative sessions.

Responsibilities include leading setup of sound, audio, visual, and live streaming gear, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring rooms are clean and ready on time. Weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of sound, audio, and visual equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills for conference center and statehouse visitors.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup of specialized sound, audio, visual, live streaming equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues with provided equipment and customer gear to ensure full functionality.
• Plan and organize room setups, timelines, and equipment needs for events.
• Ensure rooms and spaces are presentable, cleaned, and ready for use.
• Work weekends as required; act as lead in supervisor's absence.
