Job summary

Lionstone Healthcare is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant for on-site care in our Louisiana facility. You will provide direct nursing care, assist with daily living activities, and monitor residents while adhering to care plans and safety protocols.

The role requires a valid STNA license, strong English communication, and the ability to work within a supportive team. Leadership and collaboration with the nursing team are essential to ensure quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered STNA license.
• Knowledge to provide care appropriate to age-related needs.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and regulations that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and work harmoniously with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, such as toileting, incontinence care, and mobility.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to the nursing team.
• Supervise and educate STNAs and other facility personnel on policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff development and orientation programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, following safety and sanitation protocols.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and used.
• Record care notes and reports accurately in charts and computer systems.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor or RN.
• Complete administrative tasks related to nursing services.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure adequate nursing coverage.
• Review care plans daily and inform supervisors of changes.
• Respect resident rights and document participation in treatment decisions.
