Lionstone Healthcare in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising STNAs. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure the highest quality care is maintained and assist with care planning.

You will also chart, document, and administer medications, while leading and mentoring nursing staff. A supportive environment emphasizes growth, respect, and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Direct the day-to-day functions of STNAs or other nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms or charts upon resident admission, transfer, and/or discharge
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Inform nursing personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc.
• Lead, educate, counsel, and discipline assigned STNAs, as necessary
• Review resident care plans daily to ensure that appropriate care is being rendered

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing personnel functions per rules and guidelines.
• Manage charting and documentation for admissions, transfers, discharges.
• Administer medications as prescribed and verify resident identity.
