Job summary

TruStage in Madison, WI seeks an experienced Tax Analyst to support complex tax research, data analysis, and policy adherence within the Tax Department. The role involves coordinating with IRS, auditors, and regulators, and leading tax integration efforts for specific processes.

You will review GAAP and statutory tax elements, manage significant tax projects, and communicate findings to stakeholders. A strong accounting/finance background and CPA/JD/CFP credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in Taxation, JD in Taxation or designation as CPA or CFA.
• 9 years' experience in a corporate tax department or national public accounting firm.
• Ability to interact with, advise and influence peers, senior tax leadership and external parties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate tax information into understandable and actionable information.

Responsibilities

• Perform complicated tax research and data analysis to identify and implement tax planning strategies.
• Review significant tax elements of GAAP and Statutory accounting and ensure adherence to tax accounting policy.
• Manage a significant process, project or process improvements within the Tax Department and ensure timely, accurate and complete performance.
• Regularly participate in day-to-day interaction with external parties including but not limited to IRS, external auditors, regulatory bodies and vendors.
• Lead tax integration efforts for specific subject process or matter.
