Job summary

The Colorado Department of Law, Office of the Attorney General, seeks a dedicated Special Agent III for the Financial Fraud Unit in Denver. You will investigate and prosecute securities and financial fraud statewide, collaborating with multiple agencies and serving Grand Jury functions as needed.

Qualified candidates must have six years of investigative experience as a sworn detective or investigator at felony level, with POST certification and the ability to lead complex investigations.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional investigative experience as a fulltime sworn detective or sworn criminal investigator at the felony level.
• Education & Experience option requires six years of investigative work as the lead investigator; education can substitute up to four years.
• Must be sworn and capable of filing felony cases in court.
• Candidates must be Colorado POST certified at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and prosecute securities fraud and related financial crimes in Colorado.
• Serve as a liaison among federal, state, and local law enforcement on securities fraud matters.
• Support Grand Jury functions, provide expert advice, and train other personnel as needed.
