Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS seeks a Special Agent. This role conducts statewide and national investigations into civil and criminal insurance codes, with emphasis on white-collar and organized crime.

Qualifications

• AZPOST certified peace officers or within 3 years of active certification.
• Applicants must pass oral board, pre-employment interview, background check; includes polygraph, AZPOST medical and drug testing.
• Investigation experience in civil/criminal fraud, white-collar crime, or organized crime is valued.

Responsibilities

• Confer with prosecuting attorneys concerning investigations.
• Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects; plan case strategy.
• Prepare and serve search warrants; conduct searches; seize and secure evidence.
• Engage in undercover investigations; conduct surveillance of suspects.
• Prepare arrest warrants; arrest and book suspects.
