Job summary

Colorado Attorney General's Office seeks an Assistant Attorney General in the Financial and Community Safety unit to handle securities and financial services work. You will litigate, advise on regulatory matters, and support enforcement against licensees, while protecting Coloradans and serving the public interest.

The role offers exposure to civil litigation, administrative law practice, and advisory work within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Colorado Bar or eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar and in good standing at start of employment.
• Experience as a prosecutor or litigator is preferred.
• Clerkships/fellowships or similar training are valuable.
• Diverse background adds value to the Department of Law and clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation in District Court.
• Advise clients on regulatory functions, open meetings, and open records requests.
• Serve as litigation counsel to the Colorado Division of Securities and also gain experience as general counsel for regulatory boards.
• Assist with promulgation of rules and administrative proceedings before agencies and courts.
