Widewater State Park is accepting applications for a Maintenance Ranger position.

Job Summary

Performs general grounds care such as mowing, string trimming, litter clean-up and brush clearing; regular facility maintenance, such as light construction and cleaning; trail maintenance and construction; and any other park-related duties as assigned to provide the best possible guest experience.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Primary duties include trash removal, facility cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
• Additional duties include trail maintenance and corridor clearing, light construction such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc., maintenance and repair of small engine equipment, informing guests about the park and its rules, and other duties as assigned.
• The seasonal term is from August 1 through October 31, 2026.
• Target hours: 32 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.

Additional Considerations

• Previous experience with landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
• Previous experience with the trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
