Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is seeking an Environmental Protection Operations Supervisor to oversee State Park Division field operations across the state. The role requires coordinating with engineering, law enforcement, project managers, and conservation staff to maintain facilities and recreation areas.

The position is full-time, on-site in Watertown, CT, with travel throughout the state.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in operation, development, and maintenance of natural resources programs and facilities.
• Experience in staff supervision and field operations; coordinating with multiple units.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and land-use planning principles.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews the work of staff.
• Provides staff training and assistance.
• Conducts performance evaluations.
• Establishes area procedures and coordinates with other units and outside officials.
