The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a State Park Reservations and Registrations Program Manager to lead key statewide programs that serve Idaho’s parks, visitors, and recreation community.
As a key member of our headquarters administration team, this position provides leadership and oversight for major programs that support the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation’s mission, vision, and values.
The position is accountable for the effective administration, continuous improvement, and day-to-day operation of the Department’s campground reservation and recreational vehicle registration programs, including oversight of the related IT service contract. Responsibilities include personnel and financial management associated with the programs, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff; establishing performance expectations; managing workload and priorities; developing and monitoring program budgets; and overseeing contracts, expenditures, and vendor performance.
The position reviews laws, rules, market trends and policies to assess operational and financial impacts. It develops and recommends legislative and policy changes, supports implementation, and ensures consistent application across programs.
The position collaborates with Department leadership, other agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements. It monitors program performance and implements improvements to meet program goals and public service needs. The position may also lead or support special projects that advance Department priorities and improve statewide program delivery.
