The Assessment & Accountability (A&A) Program Specialist provides technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of A&A programs and systems. This position is responsible for managing sensitive data, supporting web-based platforms, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience managing sensitive data, supporting web-based applications, and providing high-quality customer service. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing independent tasks with collaborative projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently review and process sensitive data/documents

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong interpersonal skills and abilities to work effectively as a member of a team, promote team goals, collaborate, and positively contribute to team climate & culture
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency with Office 365 applications, especially in Word and Excel
• Experience organizing or coordinating projects
• Experience with data entry and customer service
• Experience developing manuals or instructional materials

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Operate standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, and scanner.
• Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, answering phones, processing paperwork, and assembling office materials.
• Read, review, and process both printed and digital documents.
• Navigate websites and online systems; identify and respond to safety concerns; greet and assist visitors.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
• Understand, communicate, and follow through on program support tasks and responsibilities.
• Approximately 90% of time is spent sitting at a desk or workstation, up to 4 hours at a time.
• Approximately 10% of time is spent standing, walking, bending, or kneeling.
• Occasionally lift items, typically weighing under 5 lbs., and occasionally up to 20 lbs.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This position may require occasional but limited in-state travel time to support the manager and coordinators

They are appointed by the elected official and serve at the pleasure of the elected official. Tuition Fee Waiver: All Idaho Department of Education employees in permanent full-time positions may register for instructional courses during any academic period, at any participating state funded institutions of higher education, for a $20.00 nonrefundable registration fee per semester and $5.00 per credit hour charge.
