Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a State and Local Manager for Government Affairs and Public Policy in Texas. You will craft regional policy objectives, execute proactive legislative strategies, and partner with industry groups to advance Google’s positions on AI, privacy, and infrastructure.

You will brief lawmakers and educate regulators on Google's impact, acting as a key regional representative. The role requires strong leadership, policy analysis, and the ability to align public policy with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of policy analysis and campaigns experience, including technology policy environments.
• 7 years of government, think tanks, public interest groups, or corporate public policy experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional policy objectives and proactive legislative strategies in Texas.
• Partner with industry associations, trade groups, non-profits, and coalitions to build support.
• Collaborate with product teams to assess business impacts and draft official positions.
• Educate state legislators and regulatory staff on Google’s local economic impact and policy positions.
