Job summary

Workday seeks a Director for State & Local Government to bridge customer needs with Workday’s multi-product suite. You’ll shape strategy, align with Sales, Product, Partnerships, and Marketing, and lead industry conversations to drive growth in the public sector.

You will own a portfolio of key state and local government accounts, translate industry requirements into product roadmaps, and partner with executives to accelerate adoption and value realization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a customer-facing, product strategy, or industry role.
• Confident presenting to executive audiences.
• Prior experience in State & Local Governments and familiarity with the Workday product suite.
• Track record of driving innovation and developing business cases that tie opportunities to investments.
• Strong public sector expertise and understanding of its priorities and challenges.
• Ability to translate industry needs into clear product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of 5 key industry accounts and guide customer success.
• Advise on acquisition and market adjacency opportunities that support growth.
• Partner with Sales to pursue critical opportunities and provide product expertise and roadmap vision.
• Translate industry needs into clear product requirements for the roadmap.
• Advance AI product adoption by aligning capabilities with industry needs through customer relationships and advisory groups.
